I shake my fist at you, rain!

The plan for today was to get at least one more side of siding done. Side of siding. That sounds weird, right? Anyway, we started out with gray skies and hopeful hearts. Then the rain poured down on us our hope to finish got a bit soggy. Like our clothes and our dog. Rude.

James is nearly as tall as the wall

A few minutes into our work day our neighbor pulls up on his ATV. You heard me- an ATV. His property backs up to ours and he was missing his springer spaniel and wanted to know if we had seen her. I took a photo of him leaving because it is just so funny to me that this is how we roll out here. Literally.
said neighbor heading for said ATV

So then a little while later the FedEx guy came down the driveway looking for an address (not ours). There are exactly four houses within about a mile of ours. Only one of them has house numbers on them. (Ours does not, as we are at the end of a private road). Poor delivery driver! Luckily for him (and Sarah, I knew which house he wanted). It felt like Grand Central station today!

Ok, we got about half of half done!

Please note the sky. Seriously?

An artful shot from inside the shop. Cool, isn't it?

This is our 2010 Christmas tree
It started to rain pretty heavily as we got to the part of the siding that needed miter cuts. The tricky part about this for us is that James has a 10" saw, but really to make it easier needs a 12". I proposed we call it a day, as it was now pouring down rain on us, and buy a second saw.
a saw with frickin' laser beams! (think austin powers)

yaaaaa that is rain, friends. and a covered up miter saw

Alas, this is all we could do

We abandoned bootsy star and headed in for the fireplace and hot coffee. James is now looking through the Taunton tool guide for the best miter saw to buy and I'm planning the decor for inside bootsy star.

I picked up this cute little tree when we bought our Christmas tree. I'm going to plant it on the West side of the shop. (The one with no windows)

Think dry thoughts for us as we try to get bootsy star done before the first snow!
